Hello Friend! As I’ve been doing this year, we are trying to keep you up to date every month on the current happenings of the Mission.
By now, I expect you already know we daily provide meals and assist the homeless, provide food boxes for low-income families, offer a residential recovery program for men, Have a day shelter for those who need somewhere to go – along with a shuttle service, and we assist in many other ways.
Please always know that we pray for you every day. And my heart, the hearts of our team, are daily warmed as we assist those who come with urgent needs, those looking for a better way of living, and the many who are hungry. The many who need someone who cares.
And be encouraged that you are one of the most important parts of our team. With tears, I spiritually hug you with the love of God as I offer my most sincere thank you. God bless you Friend. May God bless you so much!

MISSION UPATE FOR JULY

Summer Slump
Unfortunately, We are at that point where we can already see donations dropping quite a bit. As we’ve said, this happens every summer right about this time to most service providers like ours. Its looking like July could be a really low month financially for us. Not great news at a time of year when the need for food is higher, especially with school on break and families trying to afford more meals for their kids.
July 4th Holiday
Our special events will continue this month as we host a holiday food box giveaway with all the items needed to enjoy a holiday meal at home, and with extras to help stock the pantry. A complete budget saver for low-income families. We will also celebrate Independence Day with a BBQ for the homeless. Many are veterans. And it also becomes another meal we can provide for those who are hungry. FREE MEAL, FRIENDLY FELLOWSHIP, in a FREE COUNTRY.

BTS Donation Drive / URGENT CALL TO ACTION

As start the month of July, we need to also keep in mind that children will be returning to school mid-August.
For families on a tight budget, school supplies get tough to afford leaving so many kids who live in low-income families having to go to school unprepared.
Let’s pitch in where we can and make this year’s BTS event a huge success this year. THE BTS GIVEAWAY IS ON JULY 12TH!
Used Clothing
The Mission is always in need of good used clean clothing. Especially as we get closer to the start of the school year, kid’s sizes will be very important.
Donation Drives
You might even want to consider a donation drive with your family or friends, or at your workplace or church. School supplies, clothing, Non-perishable food items are highly needed currently. A great way to share the experience of helping others together.
SLCMission Director Shawn Clay will be appearing on the following TV shows to talk about the Mission. Mark the dates and tune in for the ones you can.

And as Summer is always a busy time for many, please remember financial contributions remain our biggest need. We simply cannot meet the needs of those who need help without the support of others who care.

God bless you as you decide how you can continue to support and partner with the vital work we do to feed and assist so many HERE IN UTAH. Have a smile on your heart in knowing you are genuinely helping those who have the least.
