Hello Friend
I really hope all is going well as I pray God’s blessing on your life. We all appreciate so much that you are taking the time to read this letter. It means a lot that you have an interest in knowing what is going on at the Mission and that it is important to you.
As we are now about mid-way through the summer, we are still holding our heads above water financially. But the last 2 months or so have been a bit difficult as the “summer slump” settled over us again this year. June and July were busy months for us. 2 major events with our summer charity event in June and our “Back to School Giveaway” (BTS) in July.
Our annual summer charity event was completely created to help support our annual BTS event. And as al-ways, we must make up the financial difference where needed. And that stresses our finances a bit more.
But it is very important to make sure our children in need go to school fully equipped and the financial burden becomes less for the low-income households they live in. A positive future depends on properly nurturing and caring for our children now.
The major holidays this summer saw us giving away special holiday focused food boxes to anyone on a tight budget so families can enjoy a holiday meal at home. And of course, we continued filling the needs of those who come to us weekly for food, clothing, and other essentials so they can financially make ends meet each month.
The homeless we feed and assist every day were provided with what they needed as our services we established to help them were taken full advantage of.
Currently our finances are on the low side, and we need you to help us make it through the summer. I trust you have the same heart we do. We love to help others and see that no person who comes to us goes away without what they need, especially when it comes to providing food, or a hot meal, and the essentials needed every day.
And please remember, families are still needing to provide those extra meals at home till school starts again mid August.
There is no way we could do this vital humanitarian work without help from kind hearted individuals like yourself. You are a great gift from God, given to be the blessing to those who have the least.
