Hello Friend!
Summer is here again and I pray you have a great time with family and friends enjoying the warm weather. Or even just by yourself during those moments you may want to engage in activities that you can only do during the warmer weather months.
Unfortunately, for us here at the Mission we are once again facing two major challenges this summer.
As is always the case, financial donations slow down. Summer vacations, outdoor activities, family outings, all take time and money. So, many supporters often overlook the opportunity to give, or just can’t afford it themselves during the summer.
And the other challenge we have is meeting the increase of those who need food assistance. School is out for the summer and the children are home for lunch leaving a family having to prepare another meal for the day. A very difficult challenge for households trying to make it on a meager income.
So, as you can imagine, we face an uphill battle in trying to meet the increase of those facing food insecurity while we are operating on a lower budget.
It is so heartbreaking when we have to turn someone away because we just simply ran out of resources. It is made so much more disheartening when there are children involved. We have faced that in the past.
If you are able, will you be one of those who helps us stay afloat and able to feed everyone who comes to us hungry or urgently in need of our assistance in other ways?
Can we count on you this summer? It would make a world of difference to those who are genuinely without any other hope with no one else to turn to.

SPECIAL EVENTS THIS MONTH
On Saturday June 28th we have our summer fundraiser in support of less fortunate children right here in Utah. We really need more people to sign up for this event. See flyer below.
On Father’s Day we will be holding a special time of fellowship and a BBQ meal for the homeless and those living in shelters. Two days before that we will have another special food box giveaway with all the items for a low income family to prepare a holiday meal at home. Anyone in need will be welcomed!
