And during that time we had a major influx of new people coming for help for the first time. It was an eye opener for so many. Especially those who have never been in that situation before. And during all those years, I never met anyone who wasn’t trying the best they can. They worked hard at what job they had. They worked hard at raising a family. And they sacrificed much and in return only receiving a meager income. But they worked hard!
And we are confident that great individuals like yourself are hard workers too, able to sacrifice for the sake of others. You have the heart of a giver who understands and share what you have. You encourage us to be hard workers too. We are committed to work the many hours required each day to assist those in need on your behalf.
If you are a parent, then you know fathers and mothers trying to raise children can be challenging and stressful at times, to say the least. How much more so if you also have to stive against all odds just to pay the basic bills and then put food on the table every day?
The homeless? There are many who do work. But because they feel ashamed of their plight and condition, day labor jobs becomes one of their only choices, and certainly does not pay more than what it takes to survive every day.
So in honor of Labor Day this month, would you join us again in partnering with the work we do and become the “difference maker” as we share the blessings of God with those who have less. In essence saying to the working poor that “we recognize the hard work of doing your best to raise a family on a meager income. We know how tough it is and want to show that we care enough to help by assisting in “making the ends meet each month”.
We ask God’s greatest blessing on your life for what you have done to be a blessing to others. And as you consider once again to support the work we do, together, to assist those in great need, please know we will be “working hard” to always assist the homeless, the hungry, and the working poor. Right here in Utah!
Thank you for being so GREAT!
