Our Mission Statement

Salt Lake City Mission is a non-profit Inner-City Church Rescue Mission Ministry. We are called to Minister in Salt Lake City to men, women and children caught in the cycles of poverty, hopelessness, dysfuctionalities and dependencies of many kinds. We provide: food; clothing; blankets; sleeping bags; hygiene items; crisis intervention and counseling; job counseling and placement; telephone access and message services; educational assistance; birth certificates & I.D assistance and rehabilitation programs to the destitute of skid row since 1993. We also coordinate all of our efforts through networking and triage to other organizations in order to obtain the maximum help possible for our clientele. We are committed: to helping the needy people we serve change their lives and again become self-sufficient, productive members of society. We hope and pray for the lives of those we serve to be transformed through the love and power of Jesus Christ. As resources are available, we offer and make obtainable all types of help and assistance that we can to all individuals and or groups that have a genuine need, regardless of race, creed, political and or religious affiliation, gender, sexual orientation, disability, ethnicity, age, national origin or religious beliefs.

Our Motto

"Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me." Matthew 25:34-40
